Background

Pickleball is a rapidly growing sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, played with paddles and a perforated ball on a smaller court. Originally invented in 1965, it has become especially popular among older adults, though its appeal is expanding to younger generations. As the sport gains momentum, the need for better tools to schedule games, manage leagues, and track player rankings has emerged. Pickleball Pro fills this gap by providing a user-friendly web application that simplifies game scheduling, league creation, and player management, making it easier for both tech-savvy and less tech-savvy players to engage with the sport.

Problem

As pickleball grows in popularity, especially among older adults, there is a lack of streamlined tools for scheduling games, managing leagues, and tracking player rankings. The current reliance on informal methods like pen and paper creates inefficiencies and limits the ability to organize and participate in games effectively. Pickleball Pro addresses this problem by offering a simple, user-friendly platform, enabling seamless game management and player engagement.
